Basement Perimeter Drainage

Your full Type C basement perimeter drainage system should be maintained, not just the pumps!

A guide to maintaining your Delta perimeter channel drainage system…

Basement Perimeter Drainage Channel Inspection

Basement Perimeter Drainage Channel Flush

Flush.

The basement perimeter drainage channels that divert the water to the pump station are equally as important to maintain as the pump station itself, especially in the first few years of the system. Pump stations will alarm when there is a fault, but channels will not. This is because they can experience regular limescale (free lime) build up and/or debris/silt. As part of our drainage channel inspection, we carry out a camera survey on all accessible inspection ports and provide a detailed report with the images captured. If required, we can then treat/dose the system with a mild acid and carry out a channel clean and flush to remove any built up scale. This is then flushed into the pump station and a full major clean carried out at the same time.
